Description: Elegant Victorian Rosewood Ladies Vanity Chair with a deeply carved floral crest. There is a center rose surrounded by assorted flowers and leaves with a flowing ribbon underneath. The oval back is finger carved. The round seat has a beautiful shell carving with deep scrolling. The thickly turned center post swivels up and down when the chair is rotated. The base has four gracefully carved scrolled feet with large petal draped carvings on the knees. The upholstery is old but very usable in a cranberry mohair.
